Books

Books are a wonderful distilled product of a human mind.

An author spent many hours, days, months and perhaps years to put together personal learnings and experiences. Then selected and fine-tuned all the text in order to allow a reader to go through it in a matter of hours.
Therefore with books we have the chance to learn at exponential speed from others. And, if you are good in choosing these “others”, you may incurr in excellent authors.

  • Richer, Wiser, Happier by William Green.
William is an extraordinary gifted writer. In his book he has been able to condensate investing and life learnings from some of the very best investors that he had the chance to interview. I personally find chapter 1 (about Mohnish Pabrai) and Chapter 6 (about Nick and Zack) illuminating.
  • The education of a Value investor by Guy Spier.
This is about the life path about Guy Spier, a key reference in the Value investing community. If you are seriously evaluating to dedicate yourself to investing this book is a must.
Guy is very active and you can find him in several podcasts and videos.
  • Good stocks cheap by Kenneth Jeffrey Marshall.
A structured approach to value investing: this book is about why value investing is successfull and how to invest accordingly. Behavioral finance is one of the main topics, together with finance and strategy.
  • Margin of safety by Seth Klarman.
This is a Value investing classic.
  • Rich dad poor dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki.
A masterpiece. This is THE personal finance reference. Should be read by everybody, possibly at the age of 15.
